About Us
The KMc :
Who Are we?
Running for me is a release. It’s a chance to temporarily switch off from everyday troubles and worries.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s not always straight forward – the injuries, failed PB’S, running in winter months, strength work, foam-rolling, stretch-work… it’s not all smiles, medals and PB’s. However, it does wonders for my mental health and there really are fewer greater kicks out there than that post-run feeling. When I return home I’m mentally fresher and physically stronger – it’s a no brainer for me.
My main aim for starting the club was to simply encourage people to run and to provide the opportunity for people to run together.
The kilometre club helps to bring like-minded people together who simply want to improve their health, as well as their physical and mental well-being.
